Nothing fascinating, nothing exotic.
We are not wealthy, we use what we can afford, without bankrupting ourselves.
Here is the update, as of September 3rd, 2008.
We all use digital cameras, mine is around 3.2 megapixels. I use an Olympus D-540 Zoom.
I will post all changes here.
My partners use many different kinds, also digital.
Occasionally, we will use a 35 mm camera, with 400 speed film.
For recording, I use analog (non-digital) tape recorders, with normal bias cassette tapes. I like the 90 minute tapes, because you can get 45 minutes on one side. I recently switched over to a Sony Clear Voice, TCM-200DV.
This one is good, because not only is the recording clearer, but it has a 2x option that will allow you to record twice as long.
I like Panasonic and Sony, they are both pretty reliable. When it is time for them to
die, as all recorders eventually do, they give you plenty of warning.
I have tried digital recorders before. In fact, I have an Olympus VN-180. It doesn't seem to want to record beyond ten minutes. I have not found the trick to make it record any longer. As I said, I am not fond of them, I find them too difficult to work with. However, my partners use them and they work extremely well for them.
I have a short abridged version of the equipment one of our geeks uses.
